Going Viral

Going viral on Linkedin was one of the most humbling experiences ever.

Yes, I know.  I know that going viral on Linkedin.com is like hitting the lottery due to the algorithm Linkedin.com uses to determine if a post is meaningful and worthy.  What I found most interesting is during my research almost everyone who wrote about their experience going viral warned of the negative comments.  They advised that any comment whether positive or negative engages more followers or comments.  But, my post had ZERO negative comments.  This made me stop and pay attention to what was happening at the moment.

I believe my post, which came from a place of vulnerability and honesty, resonated with people because it is a universal issue.  Both men and women experience issues with work/life balance.  And, it is something we talk a lot about but don't action on well.

I am grateful for all the stories that were shared with me both in public and personal.  They moved me and I continue to read them daily.  The stories are what humbled me.  We are not alone in this journey.

There is more to be done here and I am excited to be part of the conversation.

A MOTHERS LOVE

My mother was a single mother and working mom. Without her sacrifices and work ethic I would not have had the opportunities I had.
